About PDX Panels

PDX Panels is a women-owned architectural sheet metal fabrication shop in Portland, Oregon. We design, fabricate, and deliver custom ACM and metal panel systems for commercial and residential projects across the Pacific Northwest.

How PDX Panels started

PDX Panels was founded in 2009 by Natalya. She had spent years in metal fabrication and kept seeing the same problems on job sites: panel systems showing up late, built wrong, or coming from shops that did not understand what architects were actually asking for. She knew she could run a shop that did it better, so she built one.

In 2024, Viktoriya joined as a partner to run the business side while Natalya runs the shop. Natalya's craft and Viktoriya's operations are what hold the company together.

Women in construction

Women make up roughly 11% of the construction industry, and only a small fraction of those women own and run construction businesses. In architectural metal fabrication, the number is smaller still. Natalya is usually the only woman on the job site, and PDX Panels is often the only woman-owned shop in the room with general contractors, lenders, and suppliers.

We did not start PDX Panels to make a statement. We started it because we knew we could build a better shop. But every project we deliver is proof, for the next woman thinking about a career in construction, that it can be done.

Built to last, built responsibly

Construction is one of the most resource-heavy industries there is. Buildings account for nearly 40% of global carbon emissions, and a real share of that comes from materials. We take that seriously.

Most ACM panel systems are built from aluminum, one of the most recyclable materials on the planet, and it can be reused again and again without losing quality. We source from suppliers with high recycled content, fabricate to keep scrap low, and send the scrap we do produce back into the recycling stream instead of the dumpster. Metal panel systems also outlast most other cladding, so there are fewer tear-offs and less waste over the life of a building. Do it right the first time and you do not pay for it twice.

Who you're working with

Natalya runs the shop: production, quality control on every panel that goes out, the metal suppliers, and the technical calls like gauge, finish, and fastening. Viktoriya runs the business: bidding, contracts, scheduling, and the books.

When you call PDX Panels, you are talking to the people who actually make the decisions, not a sales desk. That is what architects and general contractors notice when they need panel work done right the first time.
