Aluminum Honeycomb Panel System
PDX Series 200 aluminum honeycomb panels are architectural sheet metal panels backed by a rigid aluminum honeycomb core, combining high structural performance with lightweight construction. Tested to AAMA seismic movement standards (AAMA 501.4) and ASTM structural performance requirements (E330/E330M), the Series 200 is engineered for demanding commercial applications across Oregon and Washington. The non-progressive panel replacement design means individual panels can be swapped out without removing adjacent panels. This reduces long-term maintenance costs. Available in 22-gauge galvanized steel or .040" aluminum with a 40-year paint warranty. Fabricated in Portland, Oregon by PDX Panels LLC.
The Series 200 provides a cost-effective alternative to full composite panels while maintaining the appearance and durability that commercial projects demand. The aluminum honeycomb core delivers exceptional flatness and resistance to panel bow. Critical for large-format facade panels and soffit applications.

Applications
The PDX Series 200 honeycomb panel system is specified for commercial projects that need a high-performance, lightweight panel with a clean architectural appearance. The non-progressive replacement design and 40-year paint warranty make it well suited for high-visibility commercial facades, canopy soffits, column covers, and feature walls where long-term appearance is critical.
Available in 22-gauge galvanized steel or .040" aluminum, the Series 200 can be finished to any color or texture to match project specifications. PDX Panels fabricates every order at our Portland, Oregon facility and ships throughout Oregon, Washington, and the broader Pacific Northwest.
Aluminum Honeycomb Panel Questions
What are aluminum honeycomb panels?
Aluminum honeycomb panels are sandwich panels made of two metal faces bonded to a lightweight aluminum honeycomb core. The core keeps the panel flat and rigid at a fraction of the weight of solid metal. That makes honeycomb panels a strong fit for large commercial facade panels, canopy soffits, and column covers where flatness matters.
How are honeycomb panels different from ACM panels?
ACM panels bond two thin aluminum sheets to a solid core material. Honeycomb panels use an open aluminum honeycomb core instead, which adds rigidity and keeps large panel faces flat. PDX Panels fabricates both systems in Portland: the Series EVO ACM panel system and the Series 200 honeycomb panel system.
